HEAVEN.
This is a large property perched almost at the highest point of Tortola, facing west. The view was nothing short of gobsmacking, and the sunsets went well beyond that. I could have sat on that deck for weeks and never have seen the same scene twice – sailboats, whales, clouds, storms, the changing colours of the sea. it was magnificent, there really is no other word for it.
I liked the way the houses were independent: we all had our own kitchens, decks (all great views), gardens and pools but gathered at the main house because it had the biggest kitchen, dining area and a pool to die for.
Everything worked just fine, lots of fridge space, good sound system, path lighting, nice beds. Only negative was the road up but that’s typically BVI. My husband and I stayed on for a couple of days to dive down to the RMS Rhone, a British mail ship that went down in the late 1800s, and it was honestly the best dive I have ever done. it was a fantastic holiday, just the right mix of relaxing and sporty. I’d do it again in a flash.
